Nissan Sylphy

Introduction :

As the successor to Nissan Pulsar, the Japanese automaker Nissan launched its compact car Nissan Sylphy in 2000. the first generation Nissan Sylphy was marketed with the name of Nissan Bluebird which was available in single body style four door sedan. The current third generation Sylphy was introduced in 2012 which was based on aerodynamic and premium design and adopted the revamped styling. The new Sylphy boasts an all new design and resembles a down sized Altima. Behind the skin, It runs on a new platform which is lighter than previous model curbing upto 5 % of weight.

Engine, Mileage and its variants :

The quite and fuel efficient ride is ensured with 1.8 liter DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder engine within the hood which is the power-plant for all of its trim levels : S, FE + S, SV, FE + SV, SR, SL. The 1.8 liter engine generates the power of 130 hp with peak torque of 173 Nm at 3600 rpm. The engine is equipped with the continuous variable valve timing control system which control the efficiency of engine. The next generation Xtronic CVT transmission with a wider ratio promises the better cruising capability for better responsive acceleration. The engine is mated with six speed manual transmission and makes the top speed of 190 kmph while achieves the 100 kmph speedmark within 9.7 secs. The decent fuel economy lies at 12.65 kmpl.
