Introduction

Hyundai Tucson, the compact Sports Utility Vehicle was first introduced in year 2004 by South Korean automaker Hyundai. Hyundai Tucson has got its name from city of Tucson, Arizona. The car is currently utilized in its second generation and its new version is yet to launch in third generation. The car in its second generation is designed by Thomas Burkle and is very closely related to Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai i30, Kia Sportage, Kia Forte Koup, Kia Forte, and Kia cee'd. The compact crossover is offered in both all wheel drive and front wheel drive.

Engine, Mileage and Variants

Hyundai Tucson is powered by two powerful engine variants, one is of 2.0 liter and other is of 2.4 liter. The 2.0 liter robust engine with DOHC inline 4 cylinders, dual continuously VVT and gasoline direct injection produces a power output of 164 hp at 6200 rpm and torque output of 151 lb-ft at 4600 rpm. The 2.4 liter huge engine with DOHC inline 4 cylinders, gasoline direct injection and dual continuously VVT liberates maximum power of 182 hp at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 177 lb-ft at 4000 rpm. The 2.0 liter engine delivers a mileage of 8.77 kmpl in city and 12.1 kmpl on highways. Tucson accelerates from halt to 100 kmph in 10 seconds time duration by its 2.0 liter robust engine.

You can easily make a cal without letting your hands off the steering wheel with the help of Bluetooth hands-free phone system and voice recognition system. The audio controls and cruise control button are introduced in steering wheel for a better driving experience with an ease. The cargo space provided by Hyundai Tucson is a decent amount of 727.7 litres by folding the rear seats in 60:40 ratio.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The front Ventilated disc brakes and rear solid disc brakes are coupled with an Anti-lock braking system and Electronic brake force distribution. Tucson comes equipped with six standard airbags in it that includes dual front airbags, two side curtain airbags and front side airbags in it. The hill start assist control prevents the car from rolling back while climbing up a hill. The rear view camera prevent you from collision while taking a reveres or parking in tight places. The compact crossover SUV is sporty with stylish interior that contains high quality interior materials and offers a decent driving experience by its robust engines. Tucson serves perfectly as an urban SUV with little or no offroading capability but offers great value for money when restricted only to the city roads.
