Audi A4 Saloon

Introduction:

Over the time, the elite German automaker Audi has portrayed a perfect blend of performance and efficiency, sovereignty along with its sports DNA. The Audi A4 is yet another example of the same and marvelous engineering of the engineers. First introduced in 1994, the A4 has become the flagship model of the brand due to its explicit features, dynamic styling and un-matched performance. Engine, Mileage & variants:

Audi A4 is powered by a 16 valve DOHC 1.8 Litre and 2.0 Litre engine, each being compelling good on performance grounds. The 1.8 litre delivers a maximum power of 125 kW at 3650 -6200 rpm while the peak torque measures 320 Nm at mere 1500 – 3650 rpm. Whereas, these numbers are lifted by the 2.0 litre engine which delivers a maximum power of 165 kW at 4500 -6250 rpm while the peak torque measures 350 Nm at mere 1500 – 4500 rpm. Due to the stiffer and lighter body shell of A4, one can clock 100 kmph mark in a fascinating time span of 10.5 seconds (1.8 litre) and the top speed measures 250 kmph. The start/ stop system coupled with the engine further improves the fuel economy and the mileage ranges between 12 to 18 kmpl.

Exteriors:

A series of changes, but one thing remains the same, the true sense of Audi. The 3D worked bonnet is rounded off by the Audi single-frame, the side air inlets and angular front fog lights makes overall image harmonious with the identity of an individual. The optical xenon plus headlights along with day time running LED lights truly reflects the genes of DNA in an appropriate manner. The overall dimensions of the car measures (4701 X 1826 X 1427) mm (L X W X H) and the wheelbase measures 2808 mm that gives ample leg room and head room to the occupants.

Interiors:

Lots of information, and lots of space, the new A4 is a hub of comfort as well latest technical features. The reflex finish in steel grey & moor brown gives an elegant touch and the climate controlled comfort seats improves the comfort level of the occupants. The 7 inches color display with 3D map representation and a hard drive for music requirements also features optional MMI navigation plus helps in getting connected to the various Audi connect services on request. Though A4 may look sleek from outside but no compromise is done to the inside, providing a significant boot space of 490 Litres that can be further enhanced by folding rear seats in 60:40 proportion.

Safety, Braking And Miscellaneous:

In addition to a top class engine performance and utmost comfort, the current generation of Audi A4 is equipped with a stack of safety features to ensure that the occupants remain cocooned in extreme conditions. The ventilated disc brakes in front and solid discs at rear are further coupled with Anti- Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution System (EBD), and Brake Assist (BA) for effective braking. The other safety features include Electronic differential control ensures, front and rear seat ISOFIX, air bag systems (front, side and rear) and rear as well as front parking sensors.
